1Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Renter", "Customer", "You") and Car Rental In Gandhinagar ("Company", "We", "Us", "Our") regarding the use of our self drive car rental services.

By making a booking, taking possession of a vehicle, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

2Eligibility Requirements

To rent a self drive car from us, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Hold a valid Indian driving license (permanent, not learner's permit)
• Provide a valid government-issued ID proof (Aadhar Card, Passport, or Voter ID)
• Be in a fit physical and mental condition to operate a motor vehicle
• Not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any intoxicating substance

3Booking & Confirmation

• Bookings can be made via our website, WhatsApp (+91 991 372 2325), or phone call
• A booking is confirmed only after we send a confirmation message on WhatsApp
• Submitting a booking form does not automatically guarantee availability
• We reserve the right to cancel or modify a booking if the requested vehicle becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances
• In case of unavailability, we will offer an alternative vehicle of similar or higher category

4Rental Period

• The rental period starts from the agreed pickup time and ends at the agreed return time
• Minimum rental period is 24 hours (1 day)
• A grace period of 1 hour is provided for return. After that, late charges apply
• Extensions must be requested at least 4 hours before the scheduled return time
• Extensions are subject to vehicle availability

5Payment & Pricing

• All prices listed on our website are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include GST
• Prices are fixed — no weekend surcharges, no festival premiums, no dynamic pricing
• Full rental amount is due at the time of vehicle pickup
• We accept: UPI, Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, Bank Transfer (NEFT/IMPS), Cash, Credit/Debit Cards
• Fuel costs are not included in the rental price and are borne entirely by the renter
• Toll charges, parking fees, and inter-state permits (if applicable) are borne by the renter

6Security Deposit

• A refundable security deposit is collected at the time of vehicle pickup
• The deposit amount varies depending on the car model and rental duration
• The deposit is refunded within 24-48 hours after vehicle return, subject to inspection
• Deductions may be made from the deposit for: damages, late return, excessive dirt, missing accessories, traffic challans, or fuel shortage
• Deposit can be paid via UPI, bank transfer, or cash

7Vehicle Condition

• All vehicles are delivered in clean, well-maintained, and roadworthy condition
• A pre-rental inspection is conducted jointly at the time of pickup — any existing damages are documented with photographs
• The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as received
• The vehicle must be returned in a reasonably clean condition — excessive dirt or mess may incur cleaning charges
• Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. A cleaning fee of ₹1,000 will be charged for violation
• Pets are not allowed inside the vehicle without prior written consent

8Fuel Policy

• We follow a "same-to-same" fuel policy
• The vehicle is delivered with a certain fuel level (documented at pickup)
• The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level
• If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a fuel charge plus a ₹200 refueling service fee will be deducted from the deposit
• All fuel expenses during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter

9Driving Rules & Restrictions

The renter agrees to the following driving rules:

• Only the verified renter (whose KYC was completed) is authorized to drive the vehicle
• The vehicle must not be used for: racing, towing, commercial transportation, illegal activities, or off-road driving
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of the rental
• The renter must follow all Indian traffic laws and regulations
• Seatbelts must be worn at all times
• The vehicle must not be driven outside Gujarat without prior written permission
• Inter-state travel requires advance notice of at least 24 hours
• The vehicle must not be taken to restricted areas, flood-prone zones, or unpaved roads that could cause damage

10Insurance Coverage

• All our vehicles come with comprehensive insurance
• Insurance covers: third-party liability and major accident damage
• Insurance does NOT cover:
  • Minor scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage
  • Interior damage (stains, tears, burns)
  • Damage caused by negligence or violation of terms
  • Damage to tires, windshield, or underbody
  • Damage caused while driving under the influence
  • Theft of personal belongings from the vehicle
• In case of an accident, the renter must immediately inform us and file a police report if required

11Accident & Breakdown

• In case of an accident:
  • Ensure safety of all passengers first
  • Call us immediately at +91 991 372 2325
  • Do not move the vehicle from the accident scene
  • Take photographs of the damage and surroundings
  • File a police FIR if there is injury or significant damage
  • Do not admit fault or make agreements with other parties
• In case of a breakdown:
  • Call us immediately — we provide 24/7 roadside assistance
  • If the issue cannot be resolved on-site, we will arrange a replacement vehicle at no extra cost
  • Mechanical breakdowns due to vehicle fault will not be charged to the renter

12Cancellation Policy

• More than 48 hours before pickup: Full refund (100%)
• 24-48 hours before pickup: 80% refund
• Less than 24 hours before pickup: 50% refund
• No-show (without cancellation): No refund
• Cancellations must be communicated via WhatsApp or phone call
• Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days via the original payment method

13Late Return

• A 1-hour grace period is provided after the agreed return time
• After the grace period, late charges are applied on an hourly basis
• Late charges vary by car model — typically ₹100 to ₹300 per hour
• Returns delayed by more than 4 hours without prior intimation will be charged at the full daily rate
• If the vehicle is not returned within 24 hours after the agreed time and no communication is received, we reserve the right to file a police complaint and recover the vehicle

14Damages & Liability

• The renter is fully liable for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period
• Damage assessment is done by comparing pre-rental and post-rental photographs
• Repair costs for damages not covered by insurance will be deducted from the security deposit
• If repair costs exceed the deposit amount, the renter is liable to pay the additional amount within 7 days
• We will provide a detailed damage report with photographs and repair estimates to the renter
• The renter is also liable for loss of rental income during the repair period (maximum 3 days)

15Traffic Violations

• The renter is responsible for all traffic violations and challans incurred during the rental period
• This includes but is not limited to: speeding, signal jumping, wrong parking, no-helmet passenger fines, and toll evasion
• If we receive a challan after the rental period, we will share it with the renter via WhatsApp and deduct the amount from the security deposit or request payment
• If the renter fails to pay challans within 15 days, we reserve the right to pay and recover the amount from the renter with an additional ₹200 processing fee

16Termination

We reserve the right to immediately terminate the rental and repossess the vehicle if:

• The renter violates any of these Terms & Conditions
• The renter is found driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• The renter provides false or misleading information during booking or KYC
• The vehicle is being used for illegal purposes
• The renter fails to communicate or is unreachable for an extended period

In case of termination, no refund will be provided for the remaining rental period.

17Limitation of Liability

• Our total liability in connection with the rental shall not exceed the total rental amount paid by the renter
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our vehicles
• We are not responsible for personal belongings left in the vehicle
• We are not liable for delays in delivery or pickup caused by traffic, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control
• The renter indemnifies Car Rental In Gandhinagar against all claims, damages, and expenses arising from the renter's use of the vehicle

18Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
